CoreState Hike – Spinc and Glenealo Valley
February 6 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pmFree
Glendalough is one of the Most Spectacular hiking spots in Ireland . This popular walk leads you through some of the most spectacular scenery in Co. Wicklow. We will begin the hike at the laketoward the Glenealo valley towards the Spinc boardwalk which brings us to the most magnificant viewing points overlooking the Upper lake. Our meeting point will be meeting at the same point as on our last shorter Glendalough hike which is the Upper Lake carpark ( But we will be taking a different route this time.) The hike is a moderate level hike and can be strenuous in some areas so it is not suitable for complete beginners. We will take our time and take plenty of breaks when we need them. Also, if the weather is extremely windy there is an alternative shorter route we can take on the day.
Come on your own or bring a friend or your dog! Everyone is welcome and these hikes are always so much fun. If you have time we always go for a coffee nearby afterwards,I hope to see you there and make sure to register & RSVP (below) so we know your coming.
The walk is fantastic but it’s important to keep alert, the winds are felt up high, take in the views but be careful to keep your footing especially at the waterfall viewing point. Also bring a jumper in case its a little chillier at the top.
• Hiking Boots, walking shoes or boots.
• Snacks like a breakfast bar or something nice for our halfway break
• Spare pair of sock/clothes/shoes for after- just in case its always great to be prepared
